Navdeep Sood, MD
Adult Psychiatry

Meet Dr. Sood

Navdeep Sood, MD

I am board certified for adults. I have been working in psychiatry since 1997 in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

I completed my medical school in India and further training in Illinois. I have been with Mary Lanning Healthcare since 2003, working on the Behavioral Services Unit, as well as The Lanning Center.

Theoretical Orientation/Approach to Treatment

My treatment approach uses a biological, psychological, and social framework. I work with each patient to understand symptoms in the context of medical history, family experience, daily functioning, and support systems. When appropriate, I coordinate with the patient’s primary care clinician and may recommend laboratory work or other diagnostic testing. Treatment planning may include lifestyle and non-medication strategies, psychotherapy coordination, and careful use of medication with ongoing monitoring for benefit and side effects.
Rachel Zentner, MD
General Psychiatry

Meet Dr. Zentner

Rachel Zentner, MD

I provide general psychiatric services, primarily to adults. I was born and raised in small-town Nebraska and have done all of my training in state.

I received my Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and then completed my psychiatric training through the Creighton-Nebraska Psychiatry Residency. I have been with Mary Lanning Healthcare since July 2017, seeing outpatients at The Lanning Center.

Theoretical Orientation/Approach to Treatment

I use a collaborative, patient-centered approach focused on education and shared decision-making. We discuss the patient’s goals, current stressors, relationships, medical conditions, and past treatment response before choosing next steps. I emphasize clear explanations, practical coping strategies, coordination with therapists and primary care clinicians, and regular follow-up. When medication is part of care, we review expected benefits, alternatives, and side effects together and adjust the plan based on the patient’s progress.

Care centered around you

More than a treatment appointment

We look beyond symptoms to understand the biological, psychological, family, and social factors affecting each patient.

When authorized, we coordinate with primary-care providers and other members of your care team to support continuity and informed treatment decisions.

Our Approach

Patients are treated as individuals—not diagnoses. We emphasize careful evaluation, clear education, individualized Magstim treatment settings, progress monitoring, and coordination with referring clinicians.
